Terms and Conditions

  1. Acceptance of Terms

    By submitting payment for any event, service, workshop, program, or activity hosted, organized, or affiliated with Level-Up and/or Worldwide Woodturners (collectively, “the Organizers”), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full.

  2. Waiver of Liability

    You voluntarily waive, release, and discharge the Organizers – including Level-Up, Worldwide Woodturners, and their officers, principals, staff, vendors, coaches, participants, organizers, affiliates, agents, and representatives (the “Released Parties”) – from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury (including death), or other harm that may occur during or as a result of your participation in any event or activity. This waiver applies regardless of whether the alleged injury or damage is due to negligence or any other cause. You acknowledge that participation is entirely voluntary and at your own risk.

  3. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees and court costs) arising from:

    • Your actions or omissions;
    • Any breach of these Terms and Conditions;
    • Your participation in any event, program, or activity;
    • Any injury, damage, or loss you may cause to others.

    This indemnity shall remain in full force and effect even after your participation has concluded.

  4. Assumption of Risk

    You acknowledge and accept that certain activities – particularly those involving tools, equipment, or physical effort – carry inherent risks, including but not limited to bodily harm, property damage, or loss. You agree that you are solely responsible for your safety and assume all such risks knowingly and voluntarily.

  5. Limitation of Liability

    In no event shall the Released Parties be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from or in connection with your participation, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

  6. Media Release

    Unless otherwise notified in writing, you grant permission for the Organizers to use photographs, video recordings, and other media containing your image or voice taken during events for promotional or educational purposes, without compensation or further approval.

  7. Governing Law

    These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the event or program is held. Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction.

  8. Digital Signature Clause

    By submitting payment or otherwise electronically acknowledging these Terms and Conditions (such as checking a box or typing your name), you agree that your electronic signature is the legal equivalent of your manual signature and constitutes your acceptance of this agreement. You further agree that no certification authority or other third-party verification is necessary to validate your digital signature.

  9. Parent/Guardian Consent for Minors

    If the participant is under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must read and accept these Terms and Conditions on their behalf. By submitting payment or allowing your child to participate, the parent/guardian acknowledges and agrees to all the terms herein, and further:

    • Consents to the minor’s participation;
    • Accepts full responsibility for the minor’s conduct and safety;
    • Agrees to waive liability and indemnify the Released Parties on behalf of the minor;
    • Grants permission for emergency medical treatment if necessary;
    • Approves use of the minor’s likeness in any media, unless otherwise specified in writing.
  10. Prohibited Substance Use

    For the safety of all participants, the use of any equipment provided by the Organizers is strictly prohibited if the participant has consumed alcohol or is under the influence of any illicit or impairing substance, regardless of its legal status in the participant’s home state, country, or region. This includes but is not limited to marijuana, controlled substances, or prescription drugs known to impair motor skills or judgment.

    By participating, you affirm that you are not under the influence of alcohol or any impairing substance while using equipment or engaging in activities. Any violation of this policy is grounds for immediate removal from the program or event without refund, and may result in legal liability. You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any injury, damage, claim, or loss resulting from your breach of this policy.

  11. Refund Policy

    Due to the nature of the Level-Up event setup, some fixed costs are incurred upon registration and the following policy applies:

    • A fixed amount of $36 is non-refundable. This charge goes to cover upfront costs incurred at the time of reservation.
    • Cancellation Requests: Registrants may request a cancellation up to 45 days prior to start of Level-Up. Refunds will be issued minus the $36 non-refundable charge.
    • Sometimes out of the ordinary happens, and we will find a way to navigate it.
    • No-Shows: Failure to attend or utilize the reservation will result in forfeiture of the payment.
    • Refund Processing: Approved refunds will be processed within ten business days and returned via the original payment method.

    By completing a reservation, the registrant acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this refund policy.
